This interview was very eye opening for me. It amazes me how much Morrie cares for other people, even when he is battling death. It was sad to see him on the interview because he looked so fragile and breakable. When they were giving him a massage, it was disturbing in a way because he is so skinny and pale. It looked kind of painful.
Morrie reminds me of my late grandmother in so many ways. When she was dying of lung cancer, she seemed to put everybody in front of herself. She would take care of me and my family before worrying about herself. She accepted that she was going and moved on and lived the rest of her life. Morrie did the same thing. In the interview he said to open your heart and let others in, and that made me smile because it is what we should do. We should not worry so much about ourselves, but more about the others around us. Morrie touched me with his story and I was happy to do this assignment.

  1. I can see that the visual connections for you in this video are very strong. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, but having that experience will enable you to better adjust and cope with loss throughout your life. In order to truly learn, I believe that we need to be able to experience a wide array of things, including those full of joy and full of sorrow. Morrie too understood that, and I believe, that helped his message be so meaningful and inspirational to so many. - Mr. Toland
